Haley has decades of experience working with Fortune-500 companies, non-profits and start-ups to create alignment, elevate storytelling and build differentiated brand positions and compelling messages. She is a regular speaker, lecturer and author on the subject of leadership, communication and conscious capitalism.
Prior to Storyforge, Haley spent 16 years with L Brands (NYSE: LB), most recently as vice president of internal communications, directly supporting the company’s founder/CEO in strategic, leadership and internal communications to connect with 100,000 employees around the globe. As internal communications function head for the enterprise, she and her team were also responsible for all change communications including mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations and reductions in force.
Haley is chair of Conscious Capitalism Columbus, a member of the international Conscious Capitalism Inc. Community Advisory Council and a founding member of The Matriots, Ohio’s first multi-partisan PAC dedicated to electing more women to public office. She is a member and chapter sponsor of The National Association of Women Business Owners and was named to Columbus CEO’s 2020 Future 50 list, recognizing her as a leader with the ideas, energy and heart to move the region forward in the critical decade ahead.
Born and raised in Ireland, Barry has held leadership roles in the fields of hospitality, technology and entertainment.
Convinced that businesses have both an opportunity and an obligation to improve the lives of those they serve, he has helped 1000s of businesses do just that.
Following a career in hospitality management which saw Barry working at 5 star hotels in Ireland and Austria as well as two different cruise lines, he established his first consulting business in 2003 to help bars, restaurants and hotels grow and scale. Since that time, he has built 5 and sold 3 businesses.
Prior to co-founding Storyforge, Barry served as Chief Marketing Officer of a publicly-traded entertainment company that had acquired his consulting business.
It was in this role that Barry solidified his belief that businesses, with the best of intentions, are often misaligned internally, and moving further from their goals despite their best efforts.
This belief led to the formation of Storyforge, which has worked with 100s of businesses since 2014 helping their leaders and teams align behind a clear vision, purpose and mission so they can achieve extraoridnary results and have the greatest impact.
When not working with Storyforge clients, Barry spends his time educating Americans on why Irish whiskey is superior to Scotch or Bourbon. He thinks he's winning this battle, too.
